We make our 2-pin shaver adaptors according to European specifications, which also meet modern UK standards. Our aim is to make the adaptor as widely compatible as possible, so more of our customers can use it in both the UK and Europe.
Unfortunately, older UK shaver sockets (usually manufactured before 1994) are not compatible with EU shaver plugs. Whilst the plug might fit into the socket, the pins of an EU plug are thinner than those of a UK plug, making the EU plug loose or fall out. If this is the case we advise against purchasing or using the adapter – please don’t use tape or other solutions to try to keep the plug in place.
